you either have it or you don't

I had a conversation with my daughter today about leading worship. She's very good at it and she was encouraging me to try some pieces which she claims are easier than the ones that I have been playing on the piano lately.

"Or you could just lead with a cd or be Darlene Zcheck" ( a powerful voice) "

"Why yes, I can sing loud." I replied.

"You have enough bossinness in you!" she offered.

"I prefer to call it presence!" I returned.

I guess I have made peace with the bossy side of my personality at this point in life....or maybe it just sounds better when you refer to it as......... "presence".
