scared of an imaginary friend!?
I think we need a new name for those folks who not only don't believe in God but also who are afraid of those who do. How about instead of athiest, meaning no god, let's call them antitheist, or scaredytheist, or phobictheist.
My daughter started a new job recently and the man who was training her sent her to the table with the check as the party was finishing their meal. He made some comment about saying something so they'd get lots of money. She said, "Oh, I'll pray over it". " NOOO! He said, I'm an athiest!" Frightened of a little conversation with her imaginary friend he was! Well, he subsequently got fired for sleeping in the woods,......while under the influence......... I'd be more afraid of that behavior in Lewiston-Auburn than a little request to a non-existing being....or an all powerful God for that matter!
